Information on album submissions
We’ve been getting requests from so many artists, managers, record companies, agents etc. for an address to send c.d’s to that we’re even behind in responding to these! We have such a tiny staff that it is impossible to keep up with all of these requests so please send hard copy c.ds to the following address.
American roots uk
C.D reviews dept.
31 Connaught Avenue
Shoreham by Sea
West Sussex BN43 5WL
We are happy to receive downloads as opposed to hard copy, but if we find it is just a one off disc or demo it will not be reviewed. This also applies to hard copy.
Links can be emailed to americanrootsuk@gmail.com
We cannot guarantee that every album will be reviewed. In fact we can guarantee that the majority won’t be! Everything will be listened to but as this site is a labour of love rather than a huge moneyspinner there just isn’t the staff time! We can give no timescale for the review being published and in most cases won’t be able to notify the artist. It’s just a question of checking regularly, if you have the patience! If you look at some of the reviews in glossy magazines it’s not that unusual for a review to appear many months or even a year after release.
Again, due to financial and staff constraints there is not the time or finances to return any discs to the sender.
We will also assume on receipt of recordings that permission is given for a maximum of two tracks to be added to the site music pages, but don’t panic, they are not downloadable! There is also, evidence to suggest that tracks appearing in this way can aid c.d sales and crowd sizes at live gigs.
